Your bank balance now sits next to your invoices
Finance now shows your connected bank balance on the same screen as your quotes, invoices, and retainers. What you’re owed and what you’re holding, without switching tabs.
A subcontractor’s invoice is sitting on your desk. Before you approve it you need two numbers: what’s actually in the account right now, and what’s still owed to you. In most stacks those two numbers live in different buildings. The invoicing tool holds one, your bank’s website holds the other, and you end up with a tab open on each, doing the arithmetic in your head.
Both numbers, one screen
Finance now puts them in the same place. Your connected bank balance sits right beside the quotes, invoices, and retainers that were already living there. One view shows the retainer coming due, the invoices still open, and the cash actually sitting in the account.
The balance arrives through Plaid, the same connection the books already run on. The figure you’re looking at is the figure the bank has.
“Can we cover this?” used to cost two tabs and some mental math. Now it costs a glance. Call it a minute a day, except that minute stands in front of every spending decision you make, and it goes a lot faster when both halves of the answer are already on the screen.
